A solicitor's estimate of costs supported by an affidavit identifying the steps to be taken is sufficient evidence of quantum on a security for costs application; a skeleton bill of costs is not an absolute requirement. The mere existence of professional liability insurance held by a defendant does not of itself defeat an otherwise established application for security. To resist security on the ground of stultification, the plaintiff must adduce evidence of the financial position of those standing behind the company.
