Running a red light by deliberately changing lanes around a stationary vehicle and accelerating through an intersection constitutes deliberate conduct rather than momentary inattention, and a non-custodial sentence for such conduct causing death is outside the range of reasonable sentencing discretion. However, where the dangerous driving consists of a single decision to run a red light without additional aggravating factors such as erratic driving, intoxication, or excessive speed, the second Jurisic guideline (minimum 3 years with plea of guilty) does not apply. The Jurisic guidelines require sentencing judges to focus on the conduct constituting driving 'in a manner dangerous' rather than on the absence of speed or intoxication.
