A Fauré warning is not required for a drug purchaser giving evidence against an accused trafficker where the purchaser is not an accomplice, the Crown case is largely circumstantial and does not depend on the purchaser's evidence alone, and the witness's weaknesses are patent. The Crown is not obliged to call a witness endorsed on the presentment whose evidence is not essential to the unfolding of the Crown case, even if that evidence might remotely assist the defence, where the logical connexion between the evidence and the question at issue is so slight as to render it too remote to be usefully relevant.
