A sentence of 4 years' imprisonment for possession of 6.74 grams of methylamphetamine (valued at $1,700) with intent to sell or supply is within the range of a sound discretionary judgment where the offender is dealing for commercial gain at a relatively high level of distribution, even where the offender is virtually a first offender. Methylamphetamine is considered to fall at the higher end of the scale of seriousness in the hierarchy of prohibited drugs.
