A self-executing order for striking out a writ under O 29A r 4(c) of the Rules of the Supreme Court (WA) is an 'enforcement order', not a 'case management direction', and cannot be amended under O 29A r 13. Amendment of such an order requires an appeal under O 60A r 4. The discretion to extend time for compliance with self-executing orders must be exercised in light of case flow management principles, and delay itself constitutes prejudice to the opponent.
