An 'all monies' or 'any other account whatsoever' clause in a deed of guarantee will be given its literal effect to extend the guarantor's liability beyond the primary loan transaction, unless the context of the documents read together otherwise requires. The 'unless the context otherwise requires' qualification does not readily authorise outright rejection of specific words. Where related security documents must be read together, an ambiguity in one document may infect the others. Rectification of one security document will not be ordered where the pleadings do not identify in clear and precise terms what changes should be made, and where rectification would produce inconsistency with unrectified related documents.
