Where there are numerous aggravated sexual offences against two young children within a family relationship, cumulative sentences of 8 years per complainant (16 years total) fall within the appropriate sentencing range. The totality principle does not require reduction where the total sentence is proportionate to the totality of the criminal behaviour.
