Concurrent sentences of 12 years imprisonment are appropriate for serial sexual offending against six children over 10 and a half years involving penile rape of very young children, breach of trust, multiple victims, use of threats and violence, and a significant risk of re-offending. The case confirms the application of the aggravating features identified in R v SAG [2004] QCA 286 and R v Dugdale [1991] CCA 251 to serious serial child sexual offending.
