Where an offender is sentenced for sexual offences against multiple victims, the sentencing court should moderate individual sentences and direct a measure of cumulation rather than imposing longer concurrent sentences, so that each victim's offence is reflected in the total effective sentence. A depressive disorder that is clinically 'major' but properly described as 'moderate' is to be taken into account as a mitigating factor rather than by direct invocation of the Tsiaras principles applicable to serious psychiatric illness.
