Service of an original statutory demand on a company director constitutes valid service under s 109X(1)(b) of the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth), notwithstanding that the provision refers to delivering a 'copy' of the document. The principle extends to service of any document under s 109X: serving the original satisfies a requirement to serve a copy.
