A person's demonstrated capacity to conduct extensive litigation, instruct solicitors, understand limitation periods, and manage legal affairs is strong evidence against a finding that they were 'substantially impeded in the management of their affairs' under s 11(3)(b) of the Limitation Act 1969 (NSW). Simply misunderstanding the law or making procedural mistakes does not establish substantial impediment, as a reasonable person without impairment might equally make such mistakes.
