A plea of guilty entered after full legal advice, with overnight consideration, and recorded in a signed document read to the accused, will not be set aside on the basis of alleged pressure from lawyers where the accused fails to adduce any evidence contradicting the solicitor's account of the circumstances. An applicant's criticisms of Crown witness reliability are irrelevant where the applicant has pleaded guilty, as the Crown was not obliged to rely on that evidence.
