A supervision order under s 13(5)(b) of the Dangerous Prisoners (Sexual Offenders) Act 2003 (Qld) may be made where evidence establishes that appropriate accommodation, therapy and departmental supervision are available, and the conditions imposed are sufficiently restrictive to manage the risk to the community. A six-year supervision period was considered appropriate where compliance with restrictive conditions would reduce the risk to a very low level.
