When sentencing an offender who is on parole and also serving another sentence, the sentencing judge must have proper regard to the interaction of all sentences, including ensuring an adequate parole period under the sentence being imposed. Section 16(1A)(d) of the Sentencing Act 1991 (Vic) refers only to s 16(3B) and does not displace the general cumulation provision in s 16(1).
