An adverse credibility finding against a plaintiff in a serious injury application does not justify refusal of leave where objective medical evidence — including diagnostic tests and comparison of pre- and post-accident condition — independently establishes causation on the balance of probabilities. Trial judges must analyse and give appropriate weight to all the evidence, not treat a credibility finding as determinative.
