On a charge of robbery in company, where the evidence is capable of supporting a finding that the taking of property was distinct from and not connected to the earlier violence, larceny must be left as an alternative verdict. A jury question asking whether the violence must be for the purpose of robbery is a strong indicator that the alternative should be left.
