The 'one transaction rule' is merely a guideline and does not mandate concurrent sentences even where offences arise from the same series of events; the real question is whether the aggregate sentence is proportionate to overall criminality. A 'limited' criminal record is not equivalent to positive good character and does not automatically entitle an offender to significant leniency. Revenge, including revenge motivated by concern for a family member, is not a mitigating circumstance.
