A post office box is not a valid address for service under UCPR 4.5(1) because it is not a place at which documents may be left during ordinary business hours. When considering a pro bono referral under UCPR r 7.36, the court must assess the grounds of appeal for reasonable prospects of success, bearing in mind the limited resources of the Pro Bono Panel. A single judge of the Court of Appeal has power under s 46(2) of the Supreme Court Act 1970 to extend time in which to seek leave to appeal.
