A unilateral removal of an employee from their position and assignment to a role constituting a substantial diminution in status and responsibility constitutes repudiation of the employment contract, even where base remuneration is unchanged. A contractual flexibility clause permitting 'other duties' does not authorise the contraction of an employee's existing role. The word 'restructuring' in a termination provision is not confined to restructuring with another organisation or entity but extends to internal reorganisation. Company redundancy policies are not incorporated into employment contracts absent express reference in the letter of offer or a general compliance clause.
