Proceedings in the Federal Court challenging child support enforcement methods are not 'proceedings under' the Family Law Act 1975 or the Child Support (Registration and Collection) Act 1988, and the publication prohibition in s 121(1) does not apply to them. Proceedings to recover a registered maintenance liability under s 113(1)(c)(i) of the Collection Act are expressly exempted from the application of the Family Law Act by s 105(1), including the publication prohibition. The questions of whether AustLII publications fall within the s 121(9)(e) exception and whether any court (or only the court seized of the proceeding) may approve publication under s 121(9)(g) remain open.
