The one-transaction rule does not apply merely because offending occurred during a continuous drug-fuelled episode. Offences involving violence against a person (aggravated burglary and armed robbery) are separate and distinct from contemporaneous property offences for the purposes of the one-transaction rule. Even where the one-transaction rule applies, partial cumulation may be ordered where totality considerations including antecedents and lack of insight warrant it.
