A guilty verdict on a single charge of sexual penetration cannot stand where the accused was acquitted of all other charges (including one alleged at the same time and place), the defence was a blanket denial, there was no independent corroboration on the convicted charge, and no rational basis existed for the jury to treat the complainant's evidence differently between charges.
