Once a convicted person's appeal under s 668D of the Criminal Code 1899 (Qld) has been determined on the merits, the right of appeal is exhausted and the Court of Appeal has no jurisdiction to entertain a further appeal, even where the applicant seeks to raise entirely new grounds. An extension of time will be refused as futile in such circumstances.
