Where owners corporation rules allocate car spaces to 'members from time to time' in respect of a lot, the entitlement is ambulatory and continues proportionally upon subdivision of that lot, so that purchasers of subdivided lots become automatically entitled to allocation of car spaces without requiring voluntary transfer from the original licensee. The rules of an owners corporation prevail over the terms of a licence granted under those rules. A licence transfer mechanism is facilitative only and does not preclude automatic entitlement arising under the rules.
