The fact that a property subject to a writ of possession is a family home does not, without more, constitute exceptional circumstances warranting a stay of execution pending an application for special leave to appeal to the High Court. A special factor affecting an innocent third party (such as a child's imminent examinations) may be required to elevate the circumstances beyond the ordinary.
