Legal advice on settlement given during the course of a hearing, which leads to the settlement of proceedings by consent order, falls within the scope of advocates' immunity as work done out of court intimately connected with the conduct of the case in court. Where the breach of duty is clearly defined and agreed upon, advocates' immunity is appropriate for determination as a separate question. The degree of negligence is irrelevant to the operation of the immunity.
