Conditions of a development approval for operational works (such as vegetation clearing) continue in force after the permitted development has been completed, and are not terminated by the development becoming exempt development under subsequent planning legislation or by the declaration of an urban development area. Section 801(1) of the Sustainable Planning Act 2009 (Qld) comprehensively continues pre-existing development approvals, and s 14 of the Urban Land Development Authority Act 2007 (Qld) operates to its full extent and is not confined to ss 46 and 56.
