The sentencing range of nine to twelve years imprisonment for multiple armed robberies is not to be scaled down proportionally with fewer offences. Where an offender has been sentenced interstate, the approved methodology involves considering a notional combined sentence and adjusting the parole eligibility date to reflect totality. A head sentence for armed robberies may include a cumulative component for fraud offences that are different in character and separated by a substantial period of time.
