A court order requiring a party to 'obtain an appropriate development consent' within a specified time is satisfied by obtaining the consent within that time, even if the consent is subject to conditions that have not yet been fulfilled. Reading into such an order a requirement that conditions of the consent also be satisfied within the specified time constitutes impermissible re-writing of the order. Where a court order has been complied with, a subsequent order purporting to vary it is a nullity.
