A worker who made and resolved a claim for lump sum compensation under s 66 of the Workers Compensation Act 1987 (NSW) before 19 June 2012 has exhausted their 'one claim' under s 66(1A) and cannot make a further claim after that date, even where the worker's condition has deteriorated. The transitional regulation in cl 11 of Sch 8 to the 2010 Regulations exempts specific claims, not claimants — a resolved pre-19 June 2012 claim does not confer immunity on the worker from the one claim limitation in respect of subsequent claims. The Commission's power under s 66A(3)(c) to award additional compensation beyond a complying agreement is not independent of the worker's entitlement under s 66 as amended.
