Inconsistencies in witness accounts as to details such as the colour of clothing, which side of the head was struck, and how the victim fell do not render a verdict unreasonable where all witnesses consistently described only one punch landing on the deceased followed by immediate collapse. A sentence of 10 years imprisonment (non-parole 7.5 years) for a single-punch manslaughter in a public place, where the punch was unprovoked and delivered with substantial force to a retreating victim, is within the proper range.
