Bellew J granted the Crown's unopposed application for a jury view under s 53 of the Evidence Act 1995 (NSW) of locations relevant to the alleged murder and drug supply, being satisfied the view would assist the jury in understanding the evidence. The Court adopted the procedural guidelines for conducting views set out by Priest JA in Ha v R [2014] VSCA 335, including swearing a shower, keeping a record of the view, and having jury questions vetted by the judge in consultation with counsel.
