An appellant in a medical negligence case cannot succeed on appeal by selectively extracting statements from written hospital records while disregarding the weight of oral testimony and joint expert evidence given in conclave. The mere existence of conflicting testimony in written records provides no basis for appellate interference with findings of a trial judge who had the benefit of extensive oral testimony. Joint expert reports and evidence in conclave carry particular weight in medical negligence cases, and taking passages from individual expert reports out of context while disregarding the expert's conclave evidence misunderstands the trial process.
