Where an offender commits multiple discrete serious offences on different days involving different victims, the aggregate sentence must reflect a substantial degree of notional accumulation beyond the longest indicative sentence; an aggregate exceeding the longest indicative sentence by only 12 months across five serious offences is manifestly inadequate. Commission of offences while on a good behaviour bond is a 'red flag matter' that must be taken into account as an aggravating factor even if not raised by the Crown.
