Where co-offenders are found equally culpable and the appellant's subjective features are more favourable than the co-offender's in most respects, a difference in head sentence of one year and three months and in non-parole period of one year is sufficiently 'marked' to constitute unjustified disparity warranting appellate intervention. A 3-4 year age difference between young adult offenders (18 vs 21-22) does not, without more, justify such a disparity.
