Where an applicant asserts public importance of an appeal as a factor against ordering security for costs, that factor carries no significant weight if the applicant has not suggested the application would not proceed if security were ordered. A director's undertaking to pay costs is not a bar to ordering security where there is no material before the court to ascertain the value of the undertaking.
