There is no principle of law that requires or justifies disparity between co-offenders on account of their gender. The moral culpability of co-offenders in a joint criminal enterprise does not turn upon the particular acts performed by each offender. The proposition in R v Nagas that women are commonly treated with less severity than men is of doubtful authority and was not followed.
