An appellant's funding difficulties do not in the ordinary course provide an adequate explanation for repeated failure to comply with procedural directions. Where there has been serious and sustained non-compliance but the applicant provides credible assurances that the impediment has been resolved, the Court may make self-executing orders providing one final opportunity to comply rather than immediately dismissing for want of prosecution. The desire to obtain documents by subpoena provides no proper basis for non-compliance with the Court's orders.
