PTSD does not constitute 'bodily injury' under Article 17(1) of the Montreal Convention where the evidence establishes only biochemical changes in the brain without physical damage; evidence of brain malfunction or chemical changes is insufficient. For funds management costs, a defendant cannot defeat recovery at the rates of an appointed trustee merely by proving a cheaper alternative exists; the defendant must show the appointment was so unreasonable it could not be regarded as a consequence of the injury.
