Section 315 of the Legal Profession Act 2007 (Qld) imposes ongoing costs disclosure obligations only on a 'law practice', not on individual practitioners. A disciplinary charge alleging personal contravention of s 315 by an individual practitioner is misconceived. To discipline an individual practitioner (who is not a principal) for a law practice's failure to comply with s 315, the charge must be brought under s 316(7) and must allege the practitioner's 'involvement in the failure'. The word 'aware' in s 315 means 'actually knows' (per McMurdo JA and Boddice J; Philippides JA not deciding).
