A pleading of breach of contract that merely repeats the terms of the contract without identifying the specific documents or matters said to be deficient is hopelessly inadequate and will not be permitted by way of amendment, particularly where trial is proximate. Proposed amendments that roll up different causes of action (statutory and contractual) attributing the same consequence to each, without differentiating the relief sought or pleading causation, are plainly unsatisfactory.
