The potential risk to life, health and safety may be equally as important as actual harm caused, and it is wrong to place singular emphasis on the presence or absence of physical injuries. A sentence of 4 years 6 months' imprisonment was upheld for deliberately driving a car into a bedroom wall with intent to cause pecuniary detriment where the offender had a significant record of violent offending.
