Section 459G of the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth) does not require separate proceedings or separate orders for each statutory demand sought to be set aside. Multiple demands may be challenged in a single originating process through a single order, provided the order is capable of being read distributively as seeking separate relief for each demand. The 21-day time limit in s 459G(2) applies separately to each demand, so a composite proceeding may be valid for some demands and out of time for others. The Help Desk line of authority requiring separate proceedings for each demand is rejected.
