A total effective sentence of 3 years' imprisonment (2 years before recognisance release) was upheld for offending involving creation of false dating profiles using an ex-spouse's identity and intimate photographs with sexually explicit descriptions of underage children, combined with possession of 127 images and 5 videos of child exploitation material. Psychiatric evidence of persistent depressive disorder was held not to be a significant mitigating factor in the context of the serious offending.
