Estoppel cannot operate to extend the strict 21-day time limit for applications to set aside statutory demands under s 459G(2) and (3) of the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth), and an appeal may proceed despite practical mootness where the orders below would leave the application technically on foot creating prejudice.
