Where co-offenders are sentenced on different evidentiary bases (e.g., one on agreed facts and one after trial), the parity assessment must be conducted by reference to the findings made at each offender's own sentencing proceedings, not by substituting findings from the co-offender's proceedings. The test for parity remains whether the disparity engenders a justifiable sense of grievance, and there is no additional requirement that the disparity be 'gross or glaring' merely because the same judge sentenced both offenders. Subjective circumstances, not just objective seriousness, may be the decisive factor in establishing marked disparity.
