An aggregate sentence may not be appropriate where an indictment contains only a small number of charges that vary significantly in their seriousness, but the inappropriateness of the aggregate sentence form does not require resentencing where the total sentence is otherwise unimpeachable. Significant cooperation by a co-offender with police, combined with differences in role and criminal history, can justify a marked disparity in sentences between co-offenders.
