A prison assault and resulting PTSD diagnosis occurring after sentence do not constitute admissible fresh evidence on a sentence appeal where the assault is the source of the new condition rather than illuminating the true significance of pre-existing depressive symptoms known at the time of sentencing. Similarly, hardship in custody arising from a relationship not disclosed at the plea cannot constitute fresh evidence throwing light on pre-existing circumstances.
