When sentencing for breach of a recognizance release order, the sentence imposed for the breach offences by another court is relevant but not the dominant consideration. The dominant consideration is that the offender took the risk of being subjected to the suspended term of imprisonment when committing the breaching offence. Early reoffending involving the same type of criminal conduct (here, child exploitation) strongly supports revocation and imposition of the full suspended term.
