The Court of Criminal Appeal exercised its power under r 50C(3) of the Criminal Appeal Rules (NSW) of its own motion to correct arithmetic errors in the commencement date and non-parole period expiry date of a substituted sentence, without hearing from the parties. The commencement date was amended from 19 December 2017 to 17 December 2017 and the non-parole period expiry date from 18 December 2021 to 16 June 2021.
